Dr Natalie Mirabito is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in helping people across the lifespan for anxiety (e.g., OCD, social anxiety, phobias), emotion regulation difficulties, communication challenges, mood disorders (e.g., depression) and eating disorders. She brings a Compassion-Focused Therapy lens to evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy, to support her clients. Natalie has an intermediate level of French and welcomes bilingual clients who speak French and may benefit from working with a clinician who has some familiarity with the language.
Natalie strongly believes in the importance of developing a comprehensive, shared understanding of the individual (or family), their difficulties and their goals, so that they can work together towards building the life her clients want to live. She loves to work collaboratively whenever appropriate and desired by the individual/family, to incorporate the perspectives and knowledge of family members, teachers and other health professionals.
In addition to individual and family therapy, Natalie is also experienced in writing and providing group therapy programs across inpatient and outpatient settings for general mental health, eating disorders and addictions. She has facilitated the Confident Kids program at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, DBT Skills Training groups in private practice, and hospital-based day programs and inpatient programs at Northside Clinic, the Hills Private Hospital and Wesley Hospital Ashfield.
Natalie has a combined Doctorate of Clinical Psychology and Master of Science, and is strongly committed to ongoing professional development to strengthen and broaden her knowledge on how to provide the best evidence-based mental health support for her clients that she can.

I love working with people to develop a compassionate, shared understanding of themselves and of their difficulties, then helping them to make changes to create the life they want to live.
When I was a child I liked putting vegemite and peanut butter together in one sandwich!
