    Diana Russo

    Diana is a Speech Pathologist who holds Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status with Speech Pathology Australia. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Speech Pathology from Lincoln Institute, a Master Degree in Health Sciences (Infant & Parent Mental Health) and a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Sciences both from the University of Melbourne.

    Diana has extensive paediatric speech pathology experience within mental health and the education sectors. In mental health she practised as both a mental health speech pathologist and mental health clinician. Diana is committed to providing evidenced-based practice and held the Senior Advisor Professional Standards role at Speech Pathology Australia where she focused primarily on competency assessment for overseas trained speech pathologists and speech pathologists returning to practise. Diana has experience as a clinical educator for student speech pathologists with the University of Melbourne and the Australian Catholic University. She held a senior clinician role at Monash Health – Early in Life Mental Health Service in Victoria before moving into Principals Australia to facilitate the roll out of a national mental health framework for primary and secondary schools (KidsMatter & MindMatters). Diana has additional training in Tuning into Kids, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Supporting Kids in Primary School (SKIPS) that informs her clinical practice.

    Diana is passionate about communication and mental health and supporting children, families, and school communities within a strengths based framework. Diana has integrated speech pathology and mental health principles gained over her years of practice to provide informed, collaborative treatment with children and families.
