Our next seminar is an evening 3-hour seminar about an intensive school or preschool program to help children with selective mutism. This seminar is suitable for classroom teachers, preschool teachers, learning support teams, and parents, who are wanting to know more about how to help a child with selective mutism.

What Every Parent Can Do to Help Their Child with Selective Mutism
A 1.5 hour introductory seminar to help parents understand selective mutism and some of the strategies that will help their child become confident talkers. A second, more intensive 3-hour seminar will be offered following the introductory seminar to discuss specific strategies in more depth that parents can use to help children with selective mutism recover. These seminars will be suitable for both parents who have never received treatment for their child’s selective mutism as well as for parents who are currently receiving treatment for their child. We are running this seminar on Wednesday 1st May 2019 from 6 to 7.30pm.
Treatment for Selective Mutism in Schools and Preschools
A 3-hour intensive seminar for early childhood and primary school teachers, support staff, speech pathologists, and parents. We are running this seminar on Wednesday 3rd April 2019 from 5.30 to 8.30pm.
Treatment for Selective Mutism in High School
A 3-hour seminar about specific treatment strategies for children with selective mutism in high school. This is targeted for high school learning support teams, psychologists, teachers, and administration teams. We are running this seminar on Wednesday 19th June 2019 from 5.30 to 8.30pm.
Professional Development for Clinicians: Assessment and Treatment of Selective Mutism
A one-day seminar for psychologists, speech therapists, social workers, school learning support teams, and other mental health care workers. We are running this seminar on Friday 17th May 2019 at the Crows Nest Centre in Sydney and on Friday 31st May 2019 in Melbourne.
Preschoolers with Selective Mutism: Transitioning to School
A 1.5-hour seminar for early childhood workers, kindergarten teachers, parents, and support staff – who are working or will be working with a child currently in preschool who will be transitioning to school in 2020. The seminar is a short 1.5 hour seminar focused exclusively on strategies to aide with transition to school. We are running this seminar on Wednesday 18th September 2019 from 6 to 7.30pm.
WHAT ALL STAFF NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SELECTIVE MUTISM
A short, 1 hour seminar with an additional half an hour for questions in the style of an in-service for all school staff, or for principals and their learning support team to learn what to teach their own staff about managing children with selective mutism.
