PRESCHOOLERS WITH SELECTIVE MUTISM: TRANSITIONING TO SCHOOL
Our next seminar is an evening 1.5-hour seminar about strategies to help preschoolers with selective mutism transition to school in 2019. This seminar is suitable for preschool teachers and directors, learning support teams, and kindergarten teachers who will have a child with selective mutism in their class in 2019.

WHAT ALL STAFF NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SELECTIVE MUTISM
A short, 1 hour seminar with an additional half an hour for questions in the style of an in-service for all school staff, or for principals and their learning support team to learn what to teach their own staff about managing children with selective mutism.
Professional Development for Clinicians: Assessment and Treatment of Selective Mutism
A one-day seminar for psychologists, speech therapists, social workers, school learning support teams, and other mental health care workers. We ran this seminar in 2017 in North Sydney. We are hoping to run this again in 2018 in Sydney and Melbourne.

Preschoolers with Selective Mutism: Transitioning to School
A 1.5-hour seminar for early childhood workers, kindergarten teachers, parents, and support staff – who are working or will be working with a child currently in preschool who will be transitioning to school in 2018. The seminar is a short 1.5 hour seminar focused exclusively on strategies to aide with transition to school. We are running this seminar on September 12th 2018 from 6 to 7.30pm.
Treatment for Selective Mutism in Schools and Preschools
A 3-hour intensive seminar for early childhood and primary school teachers, support staff, speech pathologists, and parents. We ran this seminar in March 2018. We may run this again in late 2018.
Treatment for Selective Mutism in High School
A 3-hour seminar about specific treatment programs for children with selective mutism in high school. This is targeted for high school principals, teachers, and support workers. We ran this seminar in June 2018. We will probably run this again in mid 2019.
What Every Parent Can Do to Help Your Child with Selective Mutism
An intensive 3-hour seminar for parents to learn some of the specific strategies needed to help children with selective mutism recover. This will be suitable for both parents who have never received treatment for their child’s selective mutism as well as for parents who are currently receiving treatment for their child. We do not have plans to run this seminar yet, however please let us know if you would be interested in attending this seminar.
